Punta Trieste Mountain Restaurant, Corvara, Alta Badia
In the Dolomites all routes are determined by flavours
See you “at the owls’ ”
Punta Trieste Mountain Restaurant in Alta Badia is known for its distinctive character. A bit rustic, a bit eclectic, with the spirit that can be defined as young, dynamic, creative and family-like at the same time. An indispensable meeting point for lots of regular clients, already friends, confident of finding here a warm welcome and scrumptious specialities of the house, created according to the genuine recipes of the Costamoling family, rigorously preserved by Petra, sometimes personally behind the stoves. While her brother Luca and their father Willy cultivate their passion for fine wines in the adjacent wine bar.
As chance (and the goodwill of numerous friends that regularly add new items to the collection) would have it, the restaurant has been “populated” by owls. In wood, fabric or ceramics, these friendly guardians of Punta Trieste are everywhere, so much so that they’ve determined the restaurants’ nickname. Thus, a lunch “ at the owls’ ” isn’t just synonymous with excellent food, but also with one of those authentic atmospheres, that are so rare nowadays but so sought after!
I wish I could capture this moment forever
Take a seat please… Enchanted by the charm of the Dolomites, feel free to enjoy this extraordinary nature’s spectacle. Never in the menu, yet always available – the breath-taking panorama, that fascinates at any time of the year with its skyline of peaks and ridges, dominated by mighty Marmolada and by the imposing Sella Group. A break at Punta Trieste gratifies the eye even before delighting the palate. Boundless views and unusual perspectives. Nestled on the plateau of Pralongià, at the altitude of 2028 m a.s.l., it is one of Alta Badia’s best viewpoints, easily reachable both in summer and in winter thanks to Pralongià chairlift that takes you directly to the mountain restaurant, departing from the ample parking area in the locality Planac (Corvara).
